Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2005

As part of the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2005, P&T Consulting was chosen to take part in the group tasked with overseeing the logistical, technical and operational aspects of the event.

As such, P&T Consulting was responsible for:

• Planning and coordinating all the stages in the run-up to the Presidency
• Organizing the project (allocating roles, skills and responsibilities…)
• Setting up communications tools between the various project stakeholders
• Establishing service level agreements with the organizers
• Defining the procedures to be followed by all stakeholders
• Controlling the technical inventory for each meeting site
• Establishing the acceptance procedures and a quality plan
• Defining the test procedures and creating preparatory meetings to simulate the entire supply chain
• Managing the operational aspects of the group (featuring around 15 companies) throughout the Presidency
• Managing sensitive data and forwarding important information to all parties involved in the project
• Training the organizers

P&T Consulting also developed a cutting-edge accreditation system to streamline the necessary delegation procedures, while managing data and sharing information for the organizers. The Novento software was thus born and has since become an industry standard, making Luxembourg's successful Presidency of the Council of the European Union a shining example for Protocol managers in other European countries.

With Novento, over 500 meetings at all levels have been managed and over 4,000 people accredited.
The time saved has been invaluable, as has the quality of the information processed.
