Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2010

P&T Consulting was chosen by the Logistic Cell of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belgium as the official supplier of the accreditation system and accompanying services for the Belgium Presidency of the Council of the European Union for the second half of 2010.

As such, P&T Consulting has:

  • Granted a license to use the Novento Software, adapted to the specific requirements of the Belgium Presidency of the Council of the European Union, in an interdepartmental mode (i.e. with active participation from all ministries).
  • Defined the technical architecture for a hosting platform featuring superior security and offering optimal service level agreements.
  • Trained all ministries in french and flemish languages, representing over 60 people.
  • Set up the specific practical processes in relation to the central security services and the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Provided phone and email supports throughout the Presidency.
  • Realized a complete transfer of skills to the accreditation team of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Provided the whole documentation to the members of the organization and end-users.
  • Set up a standardized project management system with a clearly identified project manager in charge of continuously overseeing services.
  • Provided on-site support at 30 events with the concerned Ministries.
  • Ensured weekly tracking of all accreditation-related actions and information with dashboard, statistics, and so on.
  • Set up specific badges with a system of access control by using barcodes (QR codes). This solution allows displaying in real time the status of the participants with their profile (name, first name, photography, organization…) in order to increase the efficiency of access control for the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM).
  • Adapted his solution of fleet management in order to meet the expectations of the Unit in charge of convoys for delegations.
  • Provided the whole of printers and consumables (badges, badge holders, holograms, cordons…)
  • Provided two teams of liaison officers in charge of accompanying services.
