Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2007

P&T Consulting was chosen by the Missao Presidencia as the official supplier of the accreditation system for the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

As such, P&T Consulting:

• Granted a license to use the Portuguese version of the Novento software, geared towards the specific requirements of the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union
• Worked on technical issues with the company hosting the Novento software suite
• Trained all members of the Missao Presidencia
• Provided software users and members of the Missao Presidencia with operational assistance
• Delivered hotline support throughout the Presidency (24/7 in the days running up to the most important meetings)
• Transferred full skills in using its application to the Missao Presidencia project manager
• Deployed an interactive communication tool for tracking project progress
• Supplied documents in Portuguese for users and members of the organization
• Set up a standardized project management system with a clearly identified project manager in charge of continuously overseeing services

As part of the Presidency, P&T Consulting interfaced its accreditation system with the official site of the Presidency to allow for accreditation of journalists. Furthermore, the official suppliers (transport, caterers, maintenance…) were able to apply for accreditation by logging into the Novento software. Delegate movements (departures/arrivals) were displayed in real time in Novento, as well as trends in the budget for each meeting.
